MPI Injector

2021 Genesis GV80 2.5T Advanced, AWDSECTION MPI Injector

  1. Release the residual pressure in fuel line.

    (Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")

    CAUTION:
    • When removing the fuel pump relay, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may occur. Delete the code with the diagnostic tool after completion of "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel Line" work.
  2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  3. Remove the engine cover.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE COVER ")

  4. Remove the air cleaner.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ")

  5. Remove the surge tank.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "SURGE TANK ")

  6. Remove the mounting bolt (A).

    Tightening torque:Β 

    29.4 - 35.3 N.m (3.0 - 3.6 kgf.m, 21.7 - 26.0 lb-ft)

  7. Remove the low pressure delivery pipe (A) from the intake manifold.
    NOTE:
    • When removing/installing the low pressure delivery pipe (A), take measures not to allow the foreign matter to enter the cylinder.
    • If foreign matter enters the cylinder/intake manifold, immediately remove it.

  8. Disconnect the injector connectors (A).

  9. Release the fixing clip and then remove the injector (A) from delivery pipe.
