In manual position:

  • the transmission provides maximum engine braking.
  • gears 1 through 6 (6R80) or 1 through 10 (10R80) are available.
  • the driver can manually shift the transmission to gears 1 through 6 (6R80) or 1 through 10 (10R80) using the SelectShift™ switch located on the selector lever.
  • if equipped, the driver can manually shift the transmission to gears 1 through 10 (10R80 only) using the SelectShift™ paddle switches mounted on the steering wheel.
  • grade assist is activated.
  • the transmission will select gears that will provide the engine braking desired, based on the vehicle inputs, which will increase engine RPM during engine braking.

If equipped, manual 2 provides:

  • automatic shifts from 1st gear and holds the transmission in 2nd gear.

  • holds the transmission in 1st gear.
