P151A - INTAKE MANIFOLD RUNNER CONTROLLER PERFORMANCE

Description:  The intake manifold runner control (IMRC) system is monitored for failures. The test fails when the system detects a loss of bidirectional communication or signal(s) between the PCM and the IMRC solenoid.
Possible Causes: 
  • IMRC control circuit open
  • Mechanical concern - bind, seize, damage, or obstruction of IMRC hardware
  • IMRC control circuit short to voltage
  • IMRC VPWR circuit open
  • IMRC GND circuit open
  • Damaged IMRC actuator
Diagnostic Aids:   
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to HU: Intake Air Systems STEP HU16.
