Forward Clutch Assembly: Disassembly
2005 Ford Cutaway 5.4 L, 5R110WSECTION Disassembly
NOTE:
Soak all friction clutch plates in clean automatic transmission fluid.
- Remove and discard the two seals and remove the No. 7 thrust washer.
- Remove the No. 8 forward clutch thrust bearing.
- Remove the snap ring and the forward clutch plates.
- Using the special tools, remove the snap ring.
NOTE:
Note the orientation of the return spring.
