Heater system is a blend-air type. Outside airflow is received through an inlet duct to be warmed in the heater case and distributed to selected outlets. Passenger compartment temperature is adjusted, via a blend mode door, by allowing more or less airflow through the heater core. The function mode door then directs airflow to selected outlets.
