Strut & Coil Spring Assembly: Installation
1991 Ford Probe GL, StandardSECTION Installation
- Position strut assembly in strut tower and install attaching nuts from inside vehicle. Install PRC actuator (if equipped). Install lower trunk side trim and upper trunk side garnish.
- Install spindle to strut mounting bolts. Install trailing arm. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONΒ table at end of this article. Install backing plate and drum or rotor and caliper. Install brake hose "U" clip to strut.
- Install anti-lock brake harness and bracket (if equipped). Tighten to specification. Install wheel and lower vehicle.
