Diagnostic Test
2023 Dodge and Ram Challenger SXT, 4WDSECTION Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read ABS DTCs and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, read and record Environmental Data (EV Data).
- With the scan tool, erase ABS DTCs.
- Cycle the ignition switch.
- With the scan tool, read ABS DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the ABS-INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. Refer to ABS INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- CHECK FOR CORRECT COMPONENTS INSTALLED
- Turn the ignition off.
- Verify the correct Dynamics Sensor and ABS Module part numbers are installed on the vehicle.
Were any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to ABS VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE
- Replace the Dynamics Sensor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SENSOR, DYNAMICS, REMOVAL and SENSOR, DYNAMICS, INSTALLATION .
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to ABS VERIFICATION TEST .
- Test drive the vehicle by turning the vehicle left or right in a curving manner at a velocity between 10 and 20 km/h (6 and 12 mph).
- With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the DTC remain active?
Yes
- Replace the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS), REMOVAL and MODULE, ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS), INSTALLATION .
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to ABS VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
