- VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- With the scan tool, read and record the DTCs.
- With the scan tool, read and record Environmental Data (EV Data).
- With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
- Cycle the ignition switch.
- With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Is the DTC active at this time?
Yes
- Refer to DTC INDEX and perform the U0140-00-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) diagnostic procedure.
No
- Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and perform the STORED LOST COMMUNICATION DTCS diagnostic procedure.
