WARNING:
The fuel system is under constant pressure even with engine OFF. Until the fuel pressure has been properly relieved from the system, do not attempt to open the fuel system.
- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE PROCEDUREΒ .
- Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
- Remove engine cover.
- Disconnect the fuel line quick connect fitting (2) from the body mounted fuel line bundle. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDUREΒ .
- Disconnect the fuel line quick connect fitting (3) from the fuel rail. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDUREΒ .
- Disengage fuel line retainer from valve cover mounting stud and remove fuel line (1) from vehicle.
