Fuel System Pressure Release Procedure
2011 Dodge and Ram Journey R/T, AWDSECTION Fuel System Pressure Release Procedure
- Remove fuel fill cap.
- Remove fuel pump fuse from Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). For location of fuse, refer to label on underside of TIPM cover.
- Start and run engine until it stalls.
- Attempt restarting engine until it will no longer run.
- Turn ignition key to OFF position.
- Place a rag or towel below fuel line quick-connect fitting at fuel rail.
- Disconnect quick-connect fitting at fuel rail. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDUREΒ .
- When the repair is complete, reconnect fuel fittings and return fuel pump fuse to TIPM.
- One or more Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) may have been stored in PCM memory due to fuel pump fuse removal. A diagnostic scan tool must be used to erase a DTC.
