Functional System Test

- Operate system with lock cylinders, door lock switches and RKE transmitter. If system fails to function properly, check fuses No. 6 (20-amp), No. 11 (10-amp) and No. 13 (20-amp) in junction block. Junction block is located at left end cap of instrument panel. If fuses are okay, go to next step.
- If system functions with all door lock switches, but not with RKE transmitter, check RKE transmitter. See appropriate REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS article.
- If system functions with RKE transmitter, but not with any door lock switch, go to DOOR LOCK SWITCHΒ in COMPONENT TESTS. If one door lock motor fails to function with RKE transmitter and door lock switch, see DOOR LOCK MOTORΒ under COMPONENT TESTS.
- Ensure panic mode and horn chirps are functioning as programmed. If panic mode and horn chirps do not function as programmed, check horn or headlight relay operation. See HEADLIGHT & HORN RELAYSΒ under COMPONENT TESTS. If relays are okay, go to appropriate BODY CONTROL COMPUTER TESTS article for further testing.
