Modulator Assembly: Removal

- Center vehicle on hoist, or raise front of vehicle on jackstands. Disconnect and remove battery, battery tray and acid shield covering modulator assembly. See Figure . Disconnect differential pressure switch (Delta "P" switch) connector from modulator assembly. See Fig 1 . Remove top modulator assembly bracket-to-fender shield mounting bolt.
- Disconnect 2 master cylinder supply tubes at modulator assembly. Loosen 2 tubes at master cylinder and set aside; ensure tubes are not kinked. Raise vehicle on hoist. From under vehicle, disconnect modulator assembly 10-pin connector. Remove 4 remaining hydraulic tubes from modulator assembly.
- Remove modulator assembly bracket mounting bolt closest to junction block. Loosen, but DO NOTΒ remove, bracket mounting bolt nearest radiator. Lower vehicle. Lift modulator assembly and bracket out of vehicle.
