Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Latching & Non-Latching Faults
Some faults detected by CAB are "latching", meaning fault is set and ABS is disabled until ignition is reset. ABS is disabled even if original fault has disappeared.
Other faults are "non-latching". Any warning lights that come on will remain on only as long as fault condition exists. Light(s) goes out as soon as condition goes away, even though a fault message will be set in most cases. See the ABS SYSTEM FAULTSΒ table.
