Installation Procedure

2019 Chevrolet Trax Premier, AWDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. GM2500672

    Using a hydraulic jack stand with the DT 50187Β  supporter and the CH 51035Β  adapter, position the rear axle assembly (1) in the vehicle.

  2. GM2539862

    Align the mounting points of the rear axle to the painted outline (1) on the chassis.

  3. GM2500476

    Install the rear axle mounting bolts (1).

  4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Using the EN-45059Β  meter, tighten the rear axle mounting bolts (1) to:
    • First Pass 160 N.m (118 lb ft)
    • Final Pass plus 38 degrees
  6. Install the rear spring. Rear Spring ReplacementΒ

  8. Install the rear park brake cables.

  10. If equipped, install the differential carrier assembly. Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement
  11. If equipped, install the rear propeller shaft. Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement
  12. Install the rear brake lines on the rear axle.
  13. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure)
  14. Install the rear tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
