Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Replacement (Hatchback) .
  2. Remove the rear side door rear guide. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Rear Guide Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear side window outer sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Hatchback) .

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Use masking tape, tape off the outer door frame and applique to prevent scratching.
  2. Remove the rear side door water deflector.
  3. Loosen nuts on the guide so that the window can be removed.
  4. In order to remove the window out of the frame, carefully grasp and tilt the window as you guide the window up and forward.

Tighten 
11 N.m (97 lb in)
2 Rear Side Door Window

Procedure

  1. Align the window guide with the access holes in the inner door panel.
  2. Install the window to the guide.
  3. Do not operate the regulator motor without supporting the window. Ensure that the window remains in the guide when operating the regulator motor.
  4. Carefully move the regulator upward for short slow intervals, while ensuring that the window remains in the guide. Tighten the nuts to the window guide.
  5. Inspect the window for proper operation before installing the trim panel.
