Preliminary Procedures

  1. Steering Column Upper Trim Cover Replacement 
  2. Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement (N38) Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement (N37) 
  3. Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement
1 Steering Column Tilt Wheel and Telescope Control Module Bolt [2x]
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten 
3 N.m (27 lb in)

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  2. After installation and before the steering column upper and lower trim covers are installed, relearn the soft and hard stops. Refer to Steering Column Tilt Wheel and Telescope Control Module Learn 
NOTE: In order to relearn the steering column soft and hard stops, the steering column MUST be mounted and fastened and the steering column upper and lower trim covers CANNOT be installed.
