Steering Column Tilt Wheel and Telescope Control Module Learn
The Steering Column Tilt Wheel and Telescope Control Module Learn procedure must be completed when the following components are replaced:
- Steering Column Tilt Wheel and Telescope Control Module
- Steering Column Tilt Motor
- Steering Column Telescope Motor
The Steering Column Tilt Wheel and Telescope Control Module Learn procedure can be completed without a scan tool using the following steps:
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Using the steering column tilt and telescope switch, actuate the column to each mechanical hard stop in each direction listed below.NOTE: To perform the learn procedure, the directional order does not require a specific sequence. Reaching the mechanical hard stop of each direction is the only requirement.
- Tilt column full up
- Tilt column full down
- Telescope column full forward
- Telescope column full rearward
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down.
