- Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zones in SIR.
- Remove the automatic transaxle control assembly. Refer to Shift Control Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E.
- Using an electrical terminal pick, remove the shift lock control solenoid electrical terminals (black wires) from the connector body.
- Move the control assembly out of the PARK (P) position and remove the park lock switch by pressing the switch retaining tabs.
- Remove the park lock switch connector body from the control assembly, and remove the switch assembly.
