2006 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 2SECTION Installation Procedure

NOTE: Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.

  1. If installing the old sensor(s), coat the threads with sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480), or equivalent.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the appropriate ECT sensor(s) (1).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the sensor(s) to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector(s) (1) to the appropriate ECT sensor(s).
  6. Fill the cooling system, if necessary. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac N Fill) .
  7. Install the intake manifold tube. Refer to Intake Manifold Tube Replacement (LLY, LBZ) or Intake Manifold Tube Replacement (LMM) .
