False Start with MIL Light On, P0191 (Reprogram PCM)

Condition
Some customers may comment that their vehicle had a false start or start/stall with the MIL being illuminated. Some customers may not be able to start the vehicle. Upon investigation, the technician may find a DTC P0191.
Correction
Reprogram the PCM with calibration operating system part number 52372987 or later.
The new calibration will be released beginning with TIS satellite data update version 4.0 for 2004, which includes TECH2(R) update version 24.001, available April 2004. As always, make sure your TECH2(R) is updated with the latest software version.
