Ignition Switch: Installation

2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation
  1. Install ignition switch to steering column.
  2. Install retaining screws (2) to ignition switch (3). See Fig 1 . Tighten screws to 36 INCH lbs. (4 N.m).
  3. Install ignition lock cylinder.
  4. Install steering column trim covers.
  5. Connect negative battery cable.
  6. Enable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. For 2002, see AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
