2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Removal & Installation (Cavalier)

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Remove defroster grille screw. Using flat-blade screwdriver, remove defroster grille. Remove left and right instrument panel outer trim covers. Open glove box. Remove glove box trim plate. Remove accessory trim plate.
- Remove screws from instrument panel trim pad. See Fig 1. Remove trim pad. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten trim pad screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
