Turn Signal/MULTIFUNCTION Switch (Cavalier & SUNFIRE): Removal

2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Removal
  1. Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. For 2002, see AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Remove steering wheel.
  2. Remove steering column trim covers. Remove tilt lever. Remove 4 screws from lower trim cover. Remove upper trim cover.
  3. Remove 2 retaining screws from multifunction switch (2). See Figure .
  4. Remove multifunction switch (2) from steering column.
  5. Disconnect electrical connectors from multifunction switch (2).
