Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Connector Repair
If any connector or terminal in SIR wire harness (except pigtails) is damaged, component should be replaced using appropriate Saturn Terminal Repair Kit (SA 9138Z). Terminal Repair Kit contains an instruction sheet and sealed splices which are used to splice new wires, connectors and terminals to wiring harness. A splice crimping tool, which is color-keyed to match splices must be used to apply these splices.
If individual terminals are damaged on SDM or resistor module connectors, repair component using SDM Terminal Repair Kit. If individual terminals are damaged on any other SIR system connection, entire connection should be replaced using appropriate Terminal Repair Kit.
