Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Without draining the power steering system of disconnecting lines, reposition the power steering reservoir. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement .
  3. Without draining the power steering system of disconnecting lines, reposition the power steering pump to the right side of the vehicle. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .

2 Generator Nut Protective Cap
3 Generator Nut
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
12 N.m (9 lb ft)
4 Battery Positive Cable Terminal
5 Generator Mounting Nut
Tighten 
22 N.m (16 lb ft)
6 Generator Mounting Bolt (Qty: 2)
Tighten 
22 N.m (16 lb ft)
7 Generator
