- Ignition ON.
- Verify the scan tool Steering Column Position parameter corresponds to the actual steering position as the steering wheel is constantly turned through its entire range of motion between -500° and +500°.
- If the parameter does not correspond with the steering wheel position or the reading is erratic

- If the parameter reading corresponds with the steering wheel position
- If the parameter does not correspond with the steering wheel position or the reading is erratic
- All OK.
