NOTE: Coil interruption or short-circuit cannot be detected.
  1. High temperature control: generator is overloaded. To be safe, generator voltage is reduced until generator is cooled down again. Charge indicator lamp does not illuminate.
  2. Mechanical fault. Check if generator is mechanically blocked or belt drive has failed.
  3. Electrical fault. Check for Exciter diode defect, excite interruption or overvoltage due to controller defect.
  4. Communication failure. Check wiring between engine control and generator.
