2001 BMW M5SECTION 61 31 020 Removing and installing the ignition switch

Remove the bottom section of the steering column panelling, refer to STEERING COLUMN LOWER TRIM SECTION .

Unlock connector from ignition starter switch and remove.

Remove protective paint and unfasten grub screws.

Remove ignition starter switch.

Installation Note:Β 

Secure headless screws with varnish.
