Remotes mop, "Key in Ignition" Warning

E46 (3 Series)

SITUATION

The remotes are inoperative. In addition, the "Key in Ignition" chime sounds when the key is removed and the door is opened, and the electrochromic mirror is inoperative.

CAUSE

Fuse 67 (KL30 supply to EWS - Electronic Immobilizer Control Unit) is blown.

CORRECTION

Diagnose and correct the reason for the blown fuse. In particular, check the red/black wire near harness splice X1736 at the steering column. Refer to ETM for circuits supplied by Fuse F67.

Replace blown fuse.
