NIPPONDENSO COMPRESSOR, IDENTIFICATION AND CODING

PRODUCTION
The A/C compressor has been changed from "Zexel" to a "Nippondenso" compressor as of the following VIN's:
A4: 8D_TA126954
A6: 4A_TN046055
SERVICE
For Vehicles equipped with a "Zexel" compressor, the coding of the A/C control head is 00062.
For Vehicles equipped with the "Nippondenso" compressor (shown in Fig 1 ) the coding of the A/C control head has been changed to 00162.
The Nippondenso compressor can be identified by the absence of the speed sensor as shown by (arrow -A-) in the body of the Zexel compressor. See Fig 2 .
Whenever coding a control head, the coding must be set according to the type of compressor installed in the vehicle.
