ABS front axle components, removing and installing: Notes

  1. Hex bolt 
    • Always replace
    • Different versions, see part catalog

    Vehicle must not be raised when tightening this bolt.

    Tightening torque:

    See AXLE SHAFTS - FRONT & REAR .

  2. Clamping sleeve 
    • Always replace
    • Left and right sides are identical
    • Before installing, grease the hole in the wheel bearing housing with lubricating paste G 000 650
    • Push into wheel bearing housing up to stop
  3. Sealing collar 
  4. ABS wheel speed sensor 
  5. Drive axle with rotor 
    • Outer CV joint is supplied as replacement part with rotor.
