Code Control Module (Scan tool function 07)
The transmission Control Module (TCM) can be coded.
- -Connect Diagnosis and Information System VAS 5051 or VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST) and select" Transmission Electronics" with address word 02. See ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)Β . Ignition must be switched on.
Indicated on display:
- Press buttons 0 and 7. (With 07, function "Control module, coding" is selected)

- Confirm input by pressing Q button.

- Entering code. See Fig 4.

2) DSP: Dynamic Shift program
- Confirm input by pressing Q buttom.
- No other codes are permitted.
- After coding, the DTC memory in the control module is automatically erased.
- Press --> button.

- Check control module version (press buttons 0 and 1 ), confirm input by pressing Q button and check code. See ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)Β .
Indicated on Display Attempt was made to enter a code that was not valid or not recognized by the control module.

When to See a Mechanic
