Oil Pan Installation
Clean and dry oil pump mating surfaces. Install oil pump. See OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY under ENGINE OILING. Install baffle plate and oil screen. Apply liquid gasket evenly to oil pan mating surface. Install oil pan. Tighten oil pan bolts in 2-3 steps in sequence to 12 N.m (106 INCH lbs.). See Fig 1.

When to See a Mechanic
