Tailgate System
The task of the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) is to check the tailgate's automatic opening and closing mechanism. To achieve this, it is included in a system together with the following components:
Risk of component damage Open, or close, the tailgate slowly if the battery is disconnected. The spindle motors can be damaged if these instructions are not followed. The entire movement must take longer than 5 seconds.

| 12 | Inner, switch | Light switch module (LSM) (3/111) | Used for opening the tailgate. The switch is diagnosed by the Central electronic module (CEM). The switch must be held in for 500 milliseconds to activate opening. |
| 13 | Remote key | - | If the button with symbol for tailgate is pressed in for 500 milliseconds, the tailgate opens. |

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
