"Send To Car" From VOLVO On Call App

This function is only available for certain models and markets.

The Volvo On Call app can be used to send a destination to the vehicle. The position is then available in the vehicle's navigation system. The vehicle must be equipped with Road Traffic Information, RTI or Sensus Navigation to have the "Send to Car" function.

HINT: If the RTI/Sensus Navigation system was retrofitted, then the Volvo On Call app might not show the function if the retrofit procedure was not followed correctly (missing synchronization between PIE and the Volvo On Call server).Β 

If the vehicle is equipped with RTI/Sensus Navigation, the customer should be able to do the following:

  • Login to Volvo On Call app and enter the map view.
  • Search for a destination.
  • Select a destination.

If the vehicle has a working "Send to car" function, there will now be a symbol of a car visible next to the destination. For some versions of the app, there is an error message telling that the function is not available but for some versions the symbol is not visible.
