(Software Download And Replacement Of Control Module): General
It is possible to download new software to the Television Module (TVM). When ordering software the vehicle's software and hardware is compared to Volvo's central database. If the comparison corresponds, the software is downloaded to the control module.
If the comparison between the vehicle and Volvo's central database does not correspond, the database is updated with the vehicle's configuration, and then software and any security access code are downloaded.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
