2010 Volvo XC70 AWD L6-3.2L VIN 96 B6324S2SECTION Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information BCM-U012600

Condition
The control modules in the vehicle send and receive information continuously on the vehicle's controller area network (CAN). The Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) transmits information on the controller area network (CAN), which the other systems can use. The Brake control module (BCM) retrieves the information that can then be used in different brake functions.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- No signal from the Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS).
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
