Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
Information about vehicle speed is sent on the CAN-network from brake control module (BCM) to engine control module (ECM).
If brake control module (BCM) registers a malfunction of the speed signal, information about the malfunction is sent to engine control module (ECM) which generates the diagnostic trouble code.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.
Hint: If Engine control module (ECM) has been recharged or if the battery voltage has been interrupted, the brake pedal must be pressed down twice for approx. two seconds to activate the cruise control function.

- Cruise control turned off when malfunction is active.
