Condition
The knock sensor signal varies with engine speed. The engine control module (ECM) checks that the knock sensor signal is within certain limits, which are determined by engine speed. The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the signal from the knock sensor is not within the limit values.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed during a road test.
The diagnostic trouble code refers to knock sensor 2.
