Condition




The engine control module (ECM) checks the signal from the fuel temperature sensor.
If the control module detects that the value from the fuel temperature sensor deviates too much from the values for engine and intake temperature or outdoor temperature after the engine has been turned off a longer time, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed at ignition on after the engine temperature has dropped by at least 55 °C from fully warm engine (higher than 70 °C).

Substitute value
- The signal from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor is used.

Possible source
- Contact resistance in the connectors.
- Damaged fuel temperature sensor.

- Malfunction indicator light (MIL), on
