Checking The System, Digital Versatile Disc Player And Screens: Verification

2009 Volvo XC70 BaseSECTION Verification

HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.

  • Ignition off.
  • Restore components and connectors.
  • Switch on the ignition. Lighting in the DVD-player's buttons is activated. If the TV receiver is installed, the receiver's LED lights up.
  • When start-up is performed the lighting in the DVD-player's buttons goes off, does not apply to POWER-button. If the TV receiver is installed, the receiver's LED goes out.
    NOTE:

A long start-up time indicates a fault in communication with the screens.

    • Start the system using the POWER button on the DVD player or the remote control. Use the buttons, on both DVD-player and remote control, to operate the system.

    Check that:

    • The screens show a picture.
    • DVD-disc can be played.
    • Sound is heard in wireless headphones.
    • Sound can be heard in the vehicle's speakers.
    • Menus can be accessed with the remote control in both screens.
    • TV picture appears (if TV receiver is installed) and it is possible to change channels.
    • If possible, connect an external source to the AV input and test the function.
