ConditionΒ 

At the start button there are two switches to indicate the button's position. Switch 1 is directly connected to Central electronic module (CEM) and to Engine control module (ECM). Switch 2 gives a control signal to central electronic module (CEM) via serial communication (LIN). Both switches shall close when the start button is pressed in.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

  • Both switches have been closed for more than two minutes.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

  • Pressing of start button.
NOTE:

The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
