Unlocking Using The Key
The driver door can be unlocked and locked using the key blade that normally is inserted in the remote control. For C70, this type of lock is also available on the passenger door. For C70 it is also possible to unlock and open the tailgate from inside the passenger compartment. In the storage compartment in the tunnel console there is a lock cylinder which is mechanically directly connected to the lock function in the tailgate. It works as a back-up solution if there should be a problem with the system. The lock cylinder on the driver door is covered by a casing. This casing has to be removed first for the lock cylinder to be visible. This is done by inserting the mechanical key through a hole on the underside of the casing and pulling outward.
