In case of lost function of the handset, this may be due to problems in the cable between Phone module (PHM) and handset.

  • Ignition off.

Check the cable (microphone signal) between Phone module (PHM) A19(#19) and secrecy handset's connector 1(#21) for open circuit according to: CHECKING WIRING AND TERMINALS. PERMANENT FAULT

Check the cable (loudspeaker signal) between Phone module (PHM) A20(#20) and secrecy handset's connector 2(#22) for open circuit according to: CHECKING WIRING AND TERMINALS. PERMANENT FAULT

Check the cable (voltage feed) between Phone module (PHM) A7(#7) and secrecy handset's connector 5(#25) for open circuit according to: CHECKING WIRING AND TERMINALS. PERMANENT FAULT

Check the cable (cradle signal) between Phone module (PHM) A8(#8) and secrecy handset's connector 4(#24) for open circuit according to: CHECKING WIRING AND TERMINALS. PERMANENT FAULT

Check the cable (ground) between Phone module (PHM) A18(#18) and secrecy handset's connector 3(#23) for open circuit according to: CHECKING WIRING AND TERMINALS. PERMANENT FAULT

Try replacing the handset.

Remedy as necessary.
