Condition
The lock-up solenoid SLU controls the lock-up function in the gearbox. The SLU solenoid works when it receives power from the transmission control module (TCM) and depending on the speed, accelerator position and driving program setting, the solenoid will be activated for different driving conditions.
If the transmission control module (TCM) registers that the measured current in the solenoid circuit is incorrect, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is generated. The SLU solenoid is then not able to regulate system pressure.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when changing gear while the lock-up function is activated.
Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 1 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started.
