Condition




Engine control module (ECM) checks the signals from the electronic throttle unit's two position sensors.
If engine control module (ECM) detects that the difference between both sensors' signals is too great, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute value
- In case a defective signal is detected, the other signal is used.
- Cruise control turned off when malfunction is active.

Possible source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections.
- Damaged electronic throttle unit.
