Condition




The engine control module (ECM) checks the function in the throttle unit When switching off the engine a mechanical function check of the electronic throttle module (ETM) is carried out where the throttle disc spring is moved to the open position (open throttle). When control has finished, the time it takes for the damper to return to the return rest position is measured.
If Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that the throttle movement does not take place within reasonable time, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when function check is performed.
