Faulty signal

Checking the wiring








- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connector to the Integrated Audio Module (IAM).
Check the connections with regard to contact resistance, play and oxidation.
Check the signal wiring between the integrated audio module (IAM) and the speaker in the left-hand front door. Check for a short-circuit. Check for an open-circuit.
Measure between:
- Integrated audio module (IAM) terminal #A5 and speaker terminal #1 in the left front door.
- Integrated audio module (IAM) terminal #A12 and speaker terminal #2 in the left front door.
If no fault was detected, replace the Integrated Audio Module (IAM).
Remedy as necessary.

- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
Check that the sound is heard from the speakers by testing the CD player.
