Condition




The control modules transmit and receive information via a standardized communication network, CAN (Control Area Network). If the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) registers that information from the Central Electronic Module (CEM) is missing then the trouble code is set.
The Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) is located in the Steering Wheel Module (SWM) from which it is supplied with power. It is however only the Steering Angle Sensor which communicates on the Control Area Network (CAN).

Substitute value
- The stability function is blocked.

Possible source
- Faulty information from the Central Electronic Module (CEM).

Fault symptom[s]
- The anti-spin warning lamp is illuminated.
- General warning lamp lit
- The stability function is not working.
