Throttle Body (Electronic Throttle Module (ETM)), Replacing

NOTE: The illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and/or models. Some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Preparatory work

Removing components
Remove the battery ground lead.
Remove the air cleaner (ACL) module.

Removal

Removing the throttle body (TB)
Disconnect the connector for the throttle body (TB).

Remove:







- the screws for the throttle body (TB). Lift out the throttle body (TB).

Installation

NOTE: For tightening torques, see Tightening torque.

Installing the throttle body (TB)

Install:







- new gasket for the throttle body (TB)

CAUTION: Tighten the screws crosswise. the throttle body (TB) using new screws.

Connect the connector to the throttle body (TB).

Installing components
Connect the battery ground lead.
Install the air cleaner (ACL) module.

Finishing

Final checks
Test drive the engine and check the function.
